- Toll transactions fell 5.2% in the first half of this fiscal
- Toll revenue rose 6.27% compared with the previous period
- The annual toll pass, introduced in 2025, is linked to the fall in transactions
Toll transactions across India dropped 5.2% in the first half of this fiscal year. Toll revenue, however, went up by 6.27% over the previous period.
The decline in transactions is attributed to the annual toll pass introduced in 2025. Fewer vehicles are being counted at toll plazas under the new system.
Industry experts expect toll collections to climb again as commercial traffic increases.
