The conflict in Yemen has further escalated, with the Houthis claiming missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia and government-held areas of Yemen.

Saudi Arabia said three people were killed and 36 injured in attacks on Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on October 6 and 7. Two women, a Moroccan and an Algerian resident, were killed in Abha, while a Sudanese resident was killed in Riyadh.

The Houthis said they targeted King Khalid International Airport with a ballistic missile, disrupting airport operations, while Saudi Arabia’s coalition said it intercepted missiles targeting Khamis Mushait and north of Riyadh. The coalition later said it destroyed a ballistic missile launch platform in Sanaa.

In Yemen, the Transport Ministry in Aden said the Houthis targeted Aden International Airport with two ballistic missiles and several explosive-laden drones. Meanwhile, the UAE strongly condemned the attacks and reaffirmed its solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
