Police in Gandhinagar have arrested a husband and his girlfriend for allegedly strangling his wife to death. The case has been registered as a murder complaint in Sector-4.
What happened
Police said the husband, Rohit, and his girlfriend, Varsha, are accused of killing Sangitaben by strangulation. Both have been arrested, and legal proceedings have begun.
According to the complaint, the husband developed a relationship with Varsha while he was studying at a library. Disputes followed between the couple, and they later decided to live together at plot number 1021/2 in Sector-4/A, Gandhinagar.
The quarrel and the complaint
The couple has four children, three daughters and one son. The eldest daughter is 10 years old.
When Sangitaben came to Gandhinagar, she learned from her husband’s mobile phone about his conversation with Varsha. A quarrel followed between the couple.
The complaint alleges that the wife was an obstacle in the relationship, and that the husband killed her together with his girlfriend.

Police have launched an investigation into the death. The accused remain in custody while the case proceeds.
