- Dr. M.L. JAT directs ICAR institutes to ensure quality, timely completion and regular learning on iGOT Karmayogi platform
The Agricultural Education Division of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) today organized an online review meeting to assess the development and digitization of subject-specific courses for the iGOT Karmayogi platform. The meeting was presided over by Dr. M.L., Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General, ICAR. Jat did it.
This meeting was organized to review the progress of subject-specific curriculum development by ICAR institutes and ensure timely uploading of them on iGOT Karmayogi platform as per the prescribed guidelines.
Dr. M.L. JAT, while addressing the meeting, directed all ICAR institutes to develop and upload high quality subject-specific courses after conducting proper internal review and ensuring adherence to prescribed guidelines. He stressed the importance of completing the assigned work within the stipulated time frame and reinforcing regular learning through the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
Dr. Jatt also emphasized that all ICAR employees should receive at least two hours of tuition on the iGOT Karmayogi platform regularly. He called upon all ICAR institutes to ensure active participation and timely completion of the targets of scheduled teaching hours and uploading of courses.
Dr. Yashpal Singh Malik, Deputy Director General (Agricultural Education), ICAR, in his opening address, highlighted the need for timely action by all ICAR institutions to strengthen the performance of ICAR under Mission Karmayogi. He stressed the importance of active participation of all institutions in improving the national level ranking of ICAR under the Mission Karmayogi framework.
During the meeting, Mr. Ashwin, an expert from Karmayogi India, informed the participants about the process of curriculum content development and digitization. They also provided information about empaneled agencies available for curriculum development and shared technical tips to assist in creating and uploading quality subject-specific learning materials.
The meeting concluded with instructions to accelerate curriculum development and digitization, ensure quality through internal reviews, meet stipulated teaching hours and upload subject-specific curriculum within the stipulated time frame. Emphasis was laid on active participation of all ICAR institutions to strengthen capacity building and teaching under Mission Karmayogi.
