લેબર કોડ્સ પુશ: ઉત્તરાખંડના રુદ્રપુર ખાતે 250 એમ્પ્લોયરોને માહિતી આપવામાં આવી

રૂદ્રપુરમાં લેબર કોડ્સ જાગૃતિ કાર્યક્રમમાં PMVBRY અને PMSYM પણ આવરી લેવામાં આવ્યા હતા. ત્યારબાદ શ્રમ સચિવ ડૉ. ચંદ્ર ભૂષણ કુમારે ત્યાં ESIC હોસ્પિટલની મુલાકાત લીધી અને સુધારાઓ સૂચવ્યા.

The Ministry of Labour and Employment held a district-level awareness programme on the Labour Codes in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand, bringing together around 250 employers and industry stakeholders.

Focus on the new labour law

The programme was organised with the Labour Department of the Government of Uttarakhand. Partner bodies included the Kumaun Garhwal Chamber of Commerce, the Entrepreneur Welfare Committee (SEWS-SIDCUL) and the SIDCUL Industrial Welfare Association (SSIWA).

The Labour Codes came into force on 21 November 2025. The Central Rules under them were notified on 8 May 2026. The sessions explained the main provisions and the compliance duties for establishments.

Sessions and speakers

Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, presided over the programme. Shridhar Babu Adanki, Secretary (Labour), Government of Uttarakhand, welcomed the participants.

In his keynote, Dr. Kumar stressed awareness, stakeholder engagement and capacity building. He also highlighted the central schemes Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY) and Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PMSYM).

Four technical sessions followed. They covered an overview of the Labour Codes, employer compliance, and the PMVBRY and PMSYM schemes. An interactive question-and-answer session was also held.

Participants included HR professionals, legal experts and finance specialists. Officials from the Central Labour Commissioner’s office, ESIC, EPFO and the Uttarakhand Labour Department also took part.

Hospital visit

Later, the Labour Secretary visited the ESIC hospital in Rudrapur. He spoke with doctors and staff and was briefed on the hospital’s functioning and the facilities for insured persons. He suggested several steps to improve its overall working.
