The SAREX 26 maritime search and rescue operations concluded successfully off the coast of Paradip. The Director General of the Indian Coast Guard Paramesh Sivamani, AVSM PTM TM, today witnessed the 12th National Maritime Search and Rescue Exercise SAREX 26 off the coast of Paradip.
Ships of Indian Coast Guard, Navy, helicopters and dornier aircrafts of Coast Guard, 130J of the Indian Air Force, vehicles of Customs and other agencies and stakeholders took part in the spectacular SAREX 26 maritime search and rescue operations with superior coordination and meticulous execution of the whole process.
In an exclusive interview with Akashvani News on board the ICGS Samudra Pratap, the DG of the Indian Coast Guard said the Coast Guard is ready to take the maritime search and rescue operations to a new height. He said the Indian Coast Guard took the foreign observers on board to plan the SAREX 26 event for the purpose of engaging the foreign partners in real-time search and rescue operations in the future. 32 observers from 30 friendly foreign countries today witnessed the SAREX 26 event.
In an exclusive interaction with Akashvani News, Blaise Taylor, Superintendent of the Australian Border Force, said on board ICGS Samudra Pratap that the Indian Coast Guard is showcasing a leading role in search and rescue operations. He appreciated the role of the Coast Guard while cooperating with neighbouring countries.
