Detained after landing

Protest over voting lists
The protest was set for 10 October at Jantar Mantar. It targeted Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voting list issues.
The CJP has demanded Kumar’s resignation. Dipke vowed to keep fighting for free and fair elections.
Security was heightened in the national capital ahead of the proposed agitation.
At least 1,000 people were detained across Delhi to prevent mass mobilisation, according to reports.
Earlier protests
Dipke, a digital communications strategist, founded the CJP on 16 May 2026. The party describes itself as a satirical youth-based political movement.
Between 6 June and 25 July 2026, a series of demonstrations took place at Jantar Mantar. The CJP led them along with left-wing student organisations, including the All India Students Federation, the All India Students Association and the Students’ Federation of India.
In an earlier action, more than 500 people, including former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi Marlena, were reportedly arrested in New Delhi.
