IIM Ahmedabad has opened applications for a two-year Executive MBA at its Dubai campus. The course targets senior leaders who want to keep their jobs while they study.
Preparing leaders for the Gulf economy
The programme is meant to equip senior leaders for the AI-driven economy of the Gulf. Bharat Bhasker, Director of IIM Ahmedabad, said professionals today must lead with strategic depth and a global outlook.
Sunil Sharma, Dean of the IIM Ahmedabad Dubai Campus, said the Gulf is going through one of the most significant economic changes of this era.
How the course works
The programme runs over six terms. Students attend in-person classes on weekends. They also complete a seven-day residency at the Ahmedabad campus and an international immersion.
The course ends with an Executive Capstone Project, supervised by faculty. Finishing the programme gives graduates access to the IIM Ahmedabad alumni network.
Eligibility and key numbers
- Minimum six years of post-graduation experience
- At least three of those years in a managerial or leadership role
- Scores from the IIMA Admission Test, GMAT Focus, Executive Assessment or GRE

Background
The Dubai campus opened in September 2025. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, inaugurated the institute’s first international campus at Dubai International Academic City. This Executive MBA is the third offering from the campus and is separate from its one-year full-time MBA.
The institute ranks 23rd globally, first in Asia and first in India for executive education in the Financial Times Executive Education Open Rankings 2026.
