- Dhawan calls for more Japanese investment in India
- He urges stronger partnerships in manufacturing and semiconductors
- He also backs improved labour mobility between the two countries
Ashish Dhawan, co-founder of Ashoka University, believes economic ties between India and Japan can expand tenfold over the next decade.
Dhawan pushed for higher Japanese investment. He also wants deeper cooperation in manufacturing and semiconductors, along with easier movement of workers between the two countries.
He pointed to Japan’s push to spread out its supply chains as a reason for this opportunity.
