  1. (Indira Gandhi National Open University) Campus Placement Cell and Regional Centres Bhubaneswar and Rairangpur, in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Tata Steel Foundation organized a Campus Placement Drive for students on 7th October 2026 at Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar. About 489 candidates participated in the placement drive which aimed at providing employment opportunities to youth across STEM and Non-STEM sectors. 15 Companies from different sectors like Axis Bank, TATA Electronics, Foxcon, TAFF, Blinkit, Bajaj Finance Limited, Team Lease Private Limited, Jindal, Big Basket, THK, Quees, SHAHI Garments, Ashmita Holidays, Primitive Health Care, Utkarsh Small Finance, Med Plus, Rashmi Outsourcing took part in the recruitment drive.

Before the recruitment process began Senior Regional Director and Head of IGNOU Regional Centres Bhubaneswar and Rairangpur Dr. M K Dash addressed the student-participants in the inaugural session and emphasized that the skill and internship facility provided by IGNOU will help them in the professional sphere. He said that placement drives of this kind will conducted periodically. Sh. Ajay Mishra, Head, CII Odisha also addressed the students and wished them all best. 298 students have been shortlisted for various positions. The initiative highlights the commitment of IGNOU, CII and TATA Steel Foundation towards strengthening industry-academia linkages and creating effective education-to-employment pathways for Odisha’s youth.
