Yadav said the growing impact of climate change means nations must move from talk to action and closer alignment.
Common ground and the way forward
Yadav said Parties still share far more ground than the points that divide them. He pointed to agreement on keeping the 1.5°C warming limit as the aspirational goal.

India believes implementation has to respect nationally determined pathways. Each country should be able to transition according to its own circumstances and development needs.
Using existing tools and closing finance gaps
Yadav called for innovative solutions and continuing reforms to speed up climate action. Although global goals are shared, he said, countries need closer agreement on how to reach them.
He urged all sides to show flexibility and to make better use of the tools already available under the Convention and the Paris Agreement.
He described the inclusion of Article 9.1 on the provisional agenda as a key formal opportunity to match finance with what countries need. He also backed the use of Article 6 cooperative approaches to fill finance and implementation gaps and unlock market-driven resources for sustainable development.
Tuvalu talks and the road to Antalya
On the sidelines of the Fiji meeting, Yadav held talks with Maina Vakafua Talia, Minister for Home Affairs, Climate Change & Environment, Tuvalu. They discussed technology transfer, energy access and India’s work on sustainable coastal management. Yadav said India would keep sharing its learnings and experience with Tuvalu.
Yadav said India expects COP31 to set a clear course for stronger engagement, technical cooperation and targeted support for building capabilities. He said India is ready for open and transparent dialogue before the summit to reach a balanced, equitable and historic result, especially for the most vulnerable.
He said the aim is to carry the constructive points from Fiji into Antalya. The landing zone, he said, should be ambitious and balanced, advance mitigation and adaptation, and deliver the means of implementation developing countries need. India is ready to work with the Presidency, Chairs and all Parties towards this goal.

પ્રી-સીઓપી એ વાર્ષિક યુએન ક્લાઈમેટ કોન્ફરન્સના થોડા અઠવાડિયા પહેલા આયોજિત પ્રારંભિક બેઠક છે. આ વર્ષની કોન્ફરન્સ નવેમ્બરમાં અંતાલ્યા, તુર્કિયેમાં યોજાશે.
