Voting will be held by EVM on 11 October 2026. A total of 2,59,443 voters are eligible to cast ballots.
Of the 44 seats, 22 are reserved for women.
Counting is scheduled for 13 October, and the election process is due to be completed by 16 October 2026. The schedule also lists 12 October 2026 as a re-poll date, if one is needed.
Why the seats matter
The 44 elected corporators will choose the Mayor and Deputy Mayor. Their term will be two and a half years.
The last election for these 11 wards and 44 seats was held in 2021, after the COVID-19 pandemic. The BJP won 41 of the 44 seats that year. Congress won two and AAP won one.
