National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) automatically Cognizance has been taken in which it has been said that the roof of a government primary school at Kiratpur in Darbhanga district in Bihar has been temporarily supported by wooden benches, desks and bricks even after the collapse of the main pillar three-four months ago. According to reports, this poses a threat to the safety of about 191 students and staff of the school.
The Commission has said that if the facts mentioned in the news report are true, they constitute a serious violation of human rights. Therefore, the Commission has issued a notice to Darbhanga District Magistrate requesting him to submit a detailed report on this matter within two weeks.
