- Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH leads 'One Day, One Hour, Together' sanitation activity
The Ministry of AYUSH today organized a joint cleanliness campaign under the ‘One Day, One Hour, Ek Saath’ initiative under the ongoing ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2026’ campaign. This cleanliness drive was organized in the front lawn of AYUSH Bhawan and was led by the Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH. Senior officials and staff of the Ministry participated in this activity.
Ministry of AYUSH is actively participating in the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva 2026’ campaign being conducted across various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India from September 17 to October 2, 2026. In line with the scheduled calendar of campaign activities, the Ministry has organized various activities focused on cleanliness, workplace decluttering, disposal of obsolete records and responsible waste management.
Under this drive, the Ministry has undertaken a comprehensive review of the old physical files and records, and redundant records are being weeded out as per the laid down procedures. Electronic waste including old computers, UPS systems, monitors and used printer cartridges have also been segregated, and the auction process has been initiated as per applicable rules.
The Ministry also organized a sports program for the housekeeping staff.
The cleanliness initiatives taken by the Ministry during Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 have underlined the importance of collective participation in maintaining a clean, well-organized and hygienic workplace. Additionally, systematic management of records and waste has also been promoted through these initiatives.
