Yellow pea prices in India have risen from Rs 40 to Rs 46 per kg over the last two months. Ongoing conflicts have disrupted Russia’s exports of yellow peas and sunflower oil to India.
Importers say shipments from Russia have not arrived recently, which has reduced the availability of yellow peas. Sunflower oil shipments are also being held up.
Because of the delays, sunflower oil prices are expected to rise in the near future.
