The Department of Telecommunications has launched the implementation phase of Special Campaign 6, aiming to clear pending files and public grievances. The launch came at the close of Swachhata Hi Seva-2026, with Union Minister of Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M. Scindia planting a tree at the event.
Targets for pending matters
During the identification phase, which runs up to 30.09.2026, the department identified pending matters for disposal. These include MP references, State Government references, public grievances, PG appeals and parliamentary assurances.
The department has set the following targets:

It has also set a target to review or weed out 12,513 physical files.
Campaign sites and e-waste disposal
The department has identified more than 450 campaign sites across its organisations, field offices and PSUs throughout the country to resolve pending matters.
Its PSUs, attached offices, autonomous bodies and field offices have also identified scrap and e-waste for disposal. That work will take place from 2 October to 31 October 2026. The aim is to free up office space, generate revenue and keep workplaces clean and healthy.
