A special Khadi and Village Industries (KVIC) Exhibition has been organised at Delhi Haat, as part of Khadi Festival-2026. Chairman KVIC Manoj Goel today formally inaugurated the exhibition, which will continue till 15th of this month. A total of 115 stalls are displaying various Khadi products including traditional textiles and handicraft traditions of Gujarat, colorful handicrafts and traditional prints of Rajasthan, woolen products of Himachal Pradesh and traditional weaving and handicrafts of Uttar Pradesh.
Talking to reporters, Mr Goyal said that the prime objective of the exhibition is to convey Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call of Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi’ to the masses and Gen-Z. He said, the turnover of the Khadi and Village Industries sector has reached around two lakh crore rupees in the financial year 2025-26, while more than two crore people are getting employment through this sector. Mr Goel expressed confidence that the Khadi sector will also achieve the turnover target of two lakh 50 crore rupees in the coming time.
