In a recent development, Mr. Kalpesh Sharma, Sports Training Officer from the School of Physical Education and Sports (SPES) at Rashtriya Raksha University’s (RRU) Gujarat Campus, has been officially appointed as a Member of the Armwrestling Sports Association, Gujarat.
In his new role, Mr. Sharma will spearhead strategic planning to organize various state-level and national-level armwrestling events. Alongside strategic oversight, he will actively manage events and programs whenever championships are hosted by the association. Furthermore, he has been entrusted with the responsibility of executing and supporting multiple operational tasks assigned by the body.
Parallelly, Mr. Sharma will provide specialized professional advice to the association, holding official voting rights for key institutional initiatives. He will also leverage his expertise to help lead, formulate, and manage organizational policies as well as drive long-term goals for the development of armwrestling in the region. This appointment marks a significant milestone for RRU’s School of Physical Education and Sports, highlighting the faculty’s active contribution to national sports administration and event management.
