Talks with Ethiopian counterpart
Earlier in the day, Jaishankar met his Ethiopian counterpart, Gedion Timothewos. The two discussed ways to deepen bilateral ties.
The focus areas were education, culture, trade, investment and digitalisation.
Global issues and partnership
The ministers also exchanged views on global developments. They discussed boosting multilateral engagement and strengthening the partnership between India and the African Union.
Jaishankar said the strategic partnership between India and Ethiopia rests on shared values, common aspirations and South-South solidarity.
