The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of sole control over Omega-Meyer Limited and Meyer Organics Private Limited by BCPE Wellbeing Holdco Two Limited and Integral Investments Asia IV Limited. These are funds managed and/or advised by Bain Capital.
Proposed Combination Omega-Meyer Limited ( sion target ) and Mayer Organics Pvt Ltd ( mayor target ) which is the owner and controller of a group of companies and affiliated companies doing business as ‘Vitabiotics’ and ‘Mayer Organics’ respectively and the acquisition by Bain Capital Investors, LLC ( By funds managed and/or advised by Bain Capital) BCPE Wellbeing Holdco Two Limited ( acquirer 1 ) and Integral Investments Asia IV Limited ( acquirer 2 ) is being done through.
Bain Capital is a US-based private equity investment firm that invests in companies across multiple industries, including information technology, healthcare, retail and consumer products, communications, financial services, and industrial/manufacturing.
Targeted companies are engaged in supplying nutraceuticals globally and also in India. Meyer Organics Private Limited is also present in the production and supply of some over-the-counter and prescription ready-to-dose drugs in India.
