- Rs 200 crore goes to Tamil Nadu; Rs 350 crore covers Gujarat and Karnataka
- The three plants will take the manufacturing network to 18 factories
- The company expects around 15,000 direct and indirect jobs
Suzlon Group will spend about Rs 550 crore on three AI-driven blade plants, one of them in Gujarat, company co-founder Girish Tanti said. The plants are expected to start operating by 2027.
The move is aimed at speeding up work on Suzlon’s order book and meeting rising demand in India’s wind industry.
Where the money goes
Rs 200 crore will go to the Tamil Nadu facility. The remaining Rs 350 crore will fund the Gujarat and Karnataka plants.
The company said the projects are being funded entirely from internal resources.
The factories will be built close to wind project sites. The company said this will cut transport costs, improve logistics and speed up equipment deliveries.
Network and jobs
Suzlon already runs five blade factories, in Jaisalmer, Bhuj, Ratlam, Dhule and Anantapur. Bhuj is in Gujarat. The three new units will take its manufacturing network to 18 factories.
The new facilities are expected to create around 15,000 direct and indirect jobs.
New technology
The plants will use artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and advanced digital systems. The aim is higher production efficiency.
Earlier plans
The three-factory plan is not new. In December 2025, at an event marking the company’s 30 years, Tanti said two blade facilities would come up in Gujarat and Karnataka. The location of the third was still being explored.
