The 3rd International Bharat 6G Symposium 2026 opened at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia inaugurated it. The Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA) is organising the event.
The symposium brings together policymakers, global technology alliances, telecom operators, industry leaders, academics and researchers from across the world. They will work on next-generation communication technologies and India’s 6G plans.
Five new MoUs
At the inaugural ceremony, the Alliance exchanged MoUs with five bodies:
- GSMA
- one6G Association
- GTI Alliance Ltd
- 6G Industry Forum (6GIF)
- VoICE
The Alliance said the deals will deepen cooperation on research, innovation, standards and deployment for next-generation networks. It already has 10 global and two domestic MoU or MoI collaborations, taking its total to 17.
Nine white papers released
The Alliance also released nine white papers from its Working Groups. They cover 6G technology mapping and trials, integrated sensing and communication, fixed wireless broadband, optical technologies and spectrum readiness towards 2030.
Other papers focus on sustainable networks aimed at carbon net zero, cellular and Wi-Fi synergy, captive non-public networks and 6G security.
One-year review of the New Delhi Declaration
A joint report, titled “Progress towards the 6G Principles of the New Delhi Declaration: Actions, Outcomes and Outlook – First Edition, October 2026”, was also released. It tracks the actions and outcomes reported by participating MoU partners.
The New Delhi Declaration was endorsed at the International Bharat6G Symposium 2025. It sets a common framework for a secure, resilient, open, interoperable, inclusive and sustainable 6G ecosystem.
Building India’s role
The Alliance said the announcements show its role in bringing Indian and international stakeholders together. It also supports India’s participation in global standards, trials, intellectual property and partnerships.
The symposium runs from 7–9 October 2026 and covers global 6G vision, standards, trials and testbeds, AI-native networks, spectrum, industry applications and international cooperation.
